Merzbow ‘Grand Owl Habitat’

Don't be fooled by that soothing steel grey vinyl. This thing is as pummeling and transgressive as Merzbow gets. Slight return to the early form, though I'm far from familiar with the entire scope of this gentleman's work. Wikipedia suggests the title comes from the name of an Joseph Cornell artwork and that "Obusuma," the name of side B, is also a train station in Yorii, Japan.
The label boasts that the "intent behind it is meditative malevolence, seeking to dilate and masticate mind and body to euphoric effect." You're going to have to be the judge of that. These frequencies might have masticated my mind and body, though any euphoric effects have gone undetected.
